No need to pre-purchase. They're accessible in game. Of those three, the only one that truly affects gameplay is the Traveler's Attire, which reveals a wider area of the map as you travel, as well as the ability to use the guiding wind to guide you to places of interests. That being said, it's easily obtainable in-game after finishing the game's hour-long intro section. You could literally obtain it within 5 minutes after the game throws you out into the open world, as soon as you talk to a dye merchant in a town where you start one of the main missions.

Probably. As far as I know back in the PS4, in NG+ you're automatically assigned a horse that wasn't available in the first playthrough. You have no choice in the matter as NG+ throws you straight out into the open world, skipping the entire intro. I don't know if it will be the same case for PC. It could be one of the choices provided in the intro. We'll see.

As for the Broken Armor dye, it's purely cosmetic and normally obtainable from an NPC in NG+. The Broken Armor itself offers no perks/bonuses; not even upgradeable. I see no reason to use this other than wanting to look like a battered samurai stuck with arrows.

What about rewards for PSN linking? Can you get them without linking? Or are they exclusive for Legends mode?

Yes. For single player story mode. But you only get them in NG+ from an NPC not too far from where the game starts. They cost ghost flowers, which are obtainable by doing missions, or clearing outposts. It's actually a 'sidequest' that you get right at the very beginning of NG+, so you definitely won't miss it.

Thanks for letting me know it's not that necessary. I bought this in GMG for a discount but got refunded because of the PSN thing. I don't mind waiting now since the stuff isn't missable nor are they that good.
