Multiplayer mode || PSN account needed
I'm very much in favor of simplicity, so I'd rather not need a PSN account if possible; especially if such a requirement can be waived for other games (eg. Helldivers 2).

However, that being said, I don't want to miss out on the total experience of "Ghost of Tsushima", both single AND Multiplayer. If, creating a PSN account, doesn't require submitting important documents for id-verification (like a driver's licence), then I can live with this - as long as GoT Multiplayer remains FREE and doesn't eventually move to PS-Plus.

I can only speak of me here (i live in Germany).
My account exists since 2005, i had a PSP back in the days and kept the account.
The informations given to Sony was my Email address, a password for the account, my date of birth and the region i live in.

It may be different for other countries because of their laws.

It depends on region of your psn account. Some will require it, some won't. Problem is you are breaking sony's TOS if you create it not in your region and your account could be potentially banned. Other thing to be concerned that there is no info what info sony will get by linking account. It could be all your info from Steam.

Linked accounts share a token for the handshake. They don´t share personal data.

Still, PSN is not working in 177+ countries, including mine. I did try to create a PSN account for my country yesterday. It was waste of time for me.

I´ve checked your profile for your region.
Russia is under sanctions.
The PS Store is currently closed to Russian users also Russia's PSN is blocked.

I don´t want to talk about politics in a steam forum but i can say Sony isn´t the culprit here.

I do not know, but Sony is the owner of the keys given them by Steam, right?
So, there was plenty of keys for my region for Sony's games even this year. In official distributors shops, like Buka. It is a flat fact.

Keystores buy keys - Your key is from one of these keystores. Technical speaking they undermined the sanctions. You cant buy from an official store as long as sanctions are in place.

This game is not activated by key for me. There are other ways to buy the game. But Helldivers 2 keys are well known.
