Benefits of linking PSN account with steam and other questions

- I have no idea what would benefit me for linking steam with PSN, it could be mandatory for multiplayer crossplay tho....?
- Can the game be played in SP without linking/offline? I have no interest in MP GoT DLC
I tried looking up some news/official statements/discord but didnt find anything yet

there is 0 benefits to PSN

some countries require face scan ID & some are locked out because of this

they (sony) say - SP is fine it not needed ( so you are fine )

but i advise not buying a 4 years old game and being locked out of MP/coop for $$$$

stay strong help gaming - dont buy until its removed for the full game just like helldivers

you lose MP Legends etc

There are benefits if you have psn account. Or I could say there are less drawbacks. You'll get psn overlay and will see all your friends. There is small chance that if your linked account has achievements, then they will pop up in your Steam. Also achievements that you'll get in Steam should be transferred to linked psn account. Not sure how it's going to work if you don't own game on ps. Linking is mandatory for multiplayer and if you linked you'll get the crossplay with ps. There are some risks with psn not being available in some countries and sony could ban your linked account for whatever reason and you probably will lose access to all games that require linking and could possible lose your psn account. Later sony could force something worse on players.

Yes. Singleplayer could be accessed without linking. If you are completionist then some of achievements are locked behind Legends mode.

More or less a lot of the statements above are facts. Also Sony are known for data breaches. At the end of the day it offers no benefit and comes with more risk than it helps

If you cannot see that for some people achievements and friends from ps are benefits and worth it then you are no different from people who say that legends not worth it and could be locked behind linking because they don't like it. You're pretty much the same. Learn how to look at information without biases.
