8K resolution gaming... For the best image quality.
Who are planning to play at 8K resolution max settings?

Perhaps on 4090 there will be 30fps in native 8k. With dlss the balance will probably be 60 without problems.

8k is already obsolete. Unless you drop $150,000 on the latest 16k Monitor, you aren't a true PC gamer.

Sure later this year when i get a 5090. Tried playing some current games at 8k for the luls but fps takes too much of a hit unless i use both DLSS and FG. Then i just get a high frametime which makes the game feel like its running at 30fps anyways lmao.

Once you go above 4k resolution, you will barely see any difference unless you sit really close to the screen, or have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ monitor. High quality 4K TVs/monitors are already at pinnacle of image quality, anything above is just diminishing returns.

I've already said something like this in another topic, it's because there's only so many pixels you can cram into a screen because a screen is a very physical object.

The same goes for wide screen resolutions. It'd be better if screens were to grant better resolutions in both directions, but it seems people only focus on the X axis rather than the also important Y axis. Instead with the focus on, "How wide can we make it" along with now curving the monitors, it's only a matter of time before people clamor for wide screens so wide that they leave your peripheral vision entirely.

But PC gamers would say it's such an advantage and they'd defend it to the death, when in reality... there's no advantage to that. Whether or not it's on the screen, if you can't see it... it's still a bloody blindspot.
