Can i play this without PSN(offline)

Im only interested in the singleplayer component anyway. I heard ghost of tsushima is a great singleplayer game. However after the helldivers 2 PSN debacle. And made aware of its security issues. I really dont want a PSN account. If i dont have a playstation.

So can i play this in singleplayer without a PSN? Does anyone knows. The storepage mentions it requires a 3rd party account for multiplayer. But that is ONLY multiplayer right?

Yeah but why take the risk? Tomorrow they can change their mind and make it mandatory for single player. Just skip Sony games for now.

I have both PS5 and PC. I can confirm that you don't actually need a PSN account to play Single Player Campaign unless of course, if you want to play Legends mode, then yes, you will need PSN account to play Multiplayer. Believe it or not, it's been confirmed by Sucker Punch Productions, claiming that "a PSN account is only required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay. It is not required to play the singleplayer game."

I'm just wondering if those items they mention on the store page for linking to a PSN account are for Legends mode or the campaign, cause that isn't really clear

Campaign. You get them normally ingame, linking just gives them to you sooner. The charm is only available in NG+ (or at least it used to be on consoles), but it is mostly just a gimmick.

You absolutely can play it without PSN. The entire reason why PSN is required is because it allows Sony a centralised way to manage cheaters and various other support issues.

The people suggesting that PSN would be implemented for singleplayer simply have zero idea what they are talking about, because there is no practical reason why PSN should be a requirement for singleplayer gameplay. If this was something Sony was interested in doing, then we would've seen this for many other ported Playstation exclusives like Spider-Man or HZW/HFW by now.

Wait wait....... They banned 177 countries from buying this title. If PSN is not available there... They banned even japan. From purchasing this title.

Sony, A huge japanese company. Doesnt allow. Ghost of thusima. A game based on the history of japan. To be sold in japan.... Wtf is this?.....

That's why it is most likely Valve that delisted it, considering Japan was first delisted and then added back.

Yes if you see that buy button on steam then yes you can buy the game and not need a PSn for SP.
But if you don't see the buy button then you live in a non supported region and can't buy the game.

Na Steam said it was the publisher that issued the refunds and delisted so SONY did it makes you wonder how bad this situation really was to make SONY of all company's take such a knee jerk scotch earth reaction.

PSN needs a serious security update! oh well guess I will never play online... it doesn't matter, cheaters, cba cheat without the PSN or what ever... by after the hell divers 2 situation with Sony, I don't trust them at all. tho... I really wanna play stellar blade once it comes to PC
