PS plus requirements for co-op

I own the game on PS4 and I was looking forward to buy the game on steam again for the multiplayer aspect of it. I hate subscriptions, but I am not sure that since it requires a PS account for multiplayer, will it also require a PS plus sub? Cause if thats the case, that will be a huge bummer...

You need a Playstation Network account for multiplayer but no Playstation Plus sub on PC.
