They don't really need original team just for port/remaster. Sony have all rights on franchise.
(by the way GR2 on PS4Pro has render with nice trick - shaders and textures rendering in 1080p, but geometry and some cell shading in 2160p).
Sadly sony disband too many legendary teams - not only "Playstation Japan" studiosb but also Guerilla Cambridge, Evolution Studio and etc
Keiichiro Toyama now have independent studio, but (as he said) on good terms with Sony.
No more great and experimental games - just another reskins openworld TPA and remakes of remasters of openworld TPA
Sony died for me when Studio Japan died.
Everything that left of Studio Japan it's Team Asobi. But they will kill it too.
Team Asobi developing Astrobot righ now. It can be amazing masterpiece, but Sony will close Asobi after low sales.
Why I'm predict low sales. Because low auditory. Sony aim for people +16/+18 - playstation 5 don't have child friendly games except Ratchet and Clank. Jack&Dexter and Sly Racoon and other series are dead. Nintendo win here
