It does support it but its a horrible implementation. Just washes all the colours out and makes the dark scenes impossible regardless of settings

Thats not true. Calibrate your display.

It is in the game but it is currently broken: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rr7Q-d_1tc

HDR is definitely not broken, I've been using it on my OLED. Looks fantastic.

I'm also using it, however max luminance doesn't going beyond 1000 even though the slider is 1500. HDR paper white also only enhances the brightness of the UI. The combination causes extremely dark rooms when inside the houses dotted around the game.

Please either test on your rig or watch the video before stating it "works" when it clearly doesn't.

I'm playing on a AW3423DWF OLED monitor and this is very noticeable.

yeah i saw the vid, its partly broken if u have anything with max peak of over 1000 nits, and the paperwhite settings effect only UI, so yeah its not fully broken, partly. my monitor can peak at 1340 nits, but i will still prefere to use the HDR game over SDR i guess. 1000 nit is better than my monitor SDR at around 550.

Yeah, that's the monitor I'm using too. I've tried it with HDR on and off, and it definitely works when it's on.

Yes, peak brightness is limited to exactly 1063.6 nits for some reason (measured with Lilium's HDR Analysis for ReShade). Paper White does indeed control the UI brightness instead of the exposure, which currently can't be controlled (just like the black level, which at least is not raised). Also I noticed that some UI elements (like the background of the currently selected quest on the second menu page) are always rendered with peak brightness.

It's not bad, but it's clearly not the best experience possible. I hope Nixxes will fix these issues soon (Horizon Forbidden West had almost the same issue with peak brightness on release, but it was fixed quickly).

Good to know Horizon got it fixed eventually.
