Assume Sony's censorship until proven otherwise

Sony has just censored Stellar Blade with a day 1 patch after the game was promised to be released uncensored. They censored not only sexy outfits but also gore and even graffiti on the walls. There is no telling what Sony might do to this game, nothing is off the table. If you don't want to pay good money for a censored product do not pre-order. If you wanna tell me how you don't care about censorship just shut up and move along, you can troll in your own censorship appreciation thread.

you're forgetting a major upside to pc. its the amount of modders there are for games. so if steller blade does come to pc later down the road. you can be sure they will a uncensored mod

I have played this on console. There isn't anything for them to censor. Japanese clothing is traditionally conservative so there isn't anything overtly sexual or even just sexual presented in the first place.

The only thing they could "censor" would be blood and gore, but there really isn't any gore in the game and the game's main selling point is the visceral samurai combat.

So no -- I don't think any censorship is going to happen with this one.

1. There is no sexy outfits in this game anyway, I know nowadays whining about censoring skimpy outfits is the cool-kid thing to do but it makes no sense in a new IP that takes place during the samurai period.

You are trying to understand Sony behavior with logic and common sense, that's where you are wrong. Stellar Blade is rated M, the gore was censored after they have received age rating in every country, hence why the version printed on disc is completely uncensored. There was no logical reason to reduce gore, but Sony did it anyway. Just like Sony has just censored an art book for a Type Moon game while the same art will not be censored in the Nintendo release, same countries, same ratings boards. Needless, completely illogical censorship that no sane company would do, unless you have an ideology-driven ethics department in your company which has more power than even the money counting department.
