Fire casuing massive frame drops
Anyone else having the issue that lighting things (and people) on fire (or enemies doing so) causes severe frame drops to 1-4fps, when otherwise it runs smoothly at constant 60fps?
So I'm not talking about regular fire in the world, but fire caused by arrows or bombs

I'm on Ryzen 9 5900x, 32 gig ram, RTX 4080 super latest drivers etc, runs at like 150 fps, steam counter on a 3440 x 1440 monitor

Same problem here, weird thing is that it only happens with human enemys. If i light a dog or gras on fire there is no problem. I have gtx 4080 12gb laptop gpu, intel I7 13700HX and 32gb DDR5 ram. I have been trying when it happens to decrease all video settings an resolution. But nothing seems to have any affect.
Edit: After like restarting 5 times the game and my laptop the issue is gone

Didn't get a noticable notification so here's a late reply:

And I never got rid of the problem. Unfortunately now I've got bigger problems anyway, with getting fudged by Intel and their trash CPUs. Have experienced multiple crashes in one day, haven't used it since. What's the chance these problems are related?

Happened to me this week :lunar2019laughingpig: Strangely I haven't installed any software or game for a long time. So it's maybe a windows update or antivirus database update.

Sae here. Only happens when I set (or other NPCs) an enemy on fire.
The rest of the game works "fine". It's funny, I didn't have this problem the first mission you get the fire arrows. It was happening a couple of weeks ago and the game is unplayable.

In Iki Island is game-breaking. There are missions I just can't play. For some reason, the sound effects also break, and I hear nothing more than the music.
Amazing game, poor port.

This is without counting the other usual issues, like memory leaks, changing in-game settings, or doing alt tabs, which destroy the performance causing stuttering until I restart the game or even the PC.
I am very frustrated.:steamsad:

I sent a support ticket to Nixxes, hopefully they will response with a solution. I won't buy Ghost of Yotei if Nixxes can't fix this bug, as it may replicate in GoY. Steam offers 2 hours to refund, what if the bug only shows up after 2 hours?
