Why would a PSN account required for a PC GAME!!!
They maybe have made a good game, but they messed it up with all this nonsense. Our money should go somewhere else. I'm not buying this game even if they cancelled this requirement...

The PSN Account is only required to play Legends (Online mode), you can still enjoy the game without it

Because Sony wants that pc money. They're trying (and succeeding) where microsoft failed waaaay back when gears one released on PC.

Peak Entiltment...You do know these are Sony console exclusives and they dont have to give us anything. We have 0 leverage. They can peace out tommrrow and it wouldnt effect them at all. They would probably sell alot more PS5s to be honest.

they actually do have to give us these games because ponies don't buy games. They just cry about them on Twitter. That's why Helldivers 2 sold twice as many copies as the PS5 did.

With all this nonsense, we’re going to end up without Playstation games on PC. You don’t even have to install a launcher and psn it’s just for multiplayer… but with origin, ubisoft connect, rockstar, don’t we complain? If GTA VI comes out tomorrow, I guess you’re not going to buy it?

We’re not going to gain anything by review bombing. With Helldivers 2, there was enough excuse to do it. But there isn’t one here. Having PSN for multiplayer day one is not a sufficient excuse, as there are already many launchers and account links like Origin, Ubisoft Connect, Rockstar Games Launcher… (Plus, you don’t need to install a launcher here)

If you don’t like it, don’t buy the game, but don’t go messing around, because we, the PC players, end up losing with fewer games.

Sony Exclusive game that they ported to PC. You only need a PSN account to play the multiplayer. You can play single player campaign without a PSN account.

So you are asking why you need a PlayStation account to play a Sony game online? be thankful you do not need to boot up another launcher like many many other games out there, like if you play GTA, you need a Rockstar social account along with their bs launcher and any EA game requires it, any ubisoft game requires it and the list goes on...
