Ok... but what does that have to do with my video card? And how would removing the video card change anything? (I know you're not OP, I'm just asking in general)
Edit : Oops forgot a crucial point. You should do this if you use NVidia cards ->
And if you forgot to uncheck "Allow Experience Improvement Program" in your drivers help section.
Only if you want to use the software :)
This thread actually reminded me I needed to get the latest version for the game and I just updated it...
This is a correct comparison:
Graphics Card = The Game
Nvidia Software = PSN Account
I don't NEED the Nvidia Software to use all the functionality of the hardware of my graphics card. If I want to use the software features, I need to get an account. I have no intention of using the PSN account features which has nothing to do with the game. Sony is disabling game features to make you sign up for a PSN account. That would be like Nvidia disabling all anti-aliasing until you make an account despite the card/anti-aliasing being able to function independent of the software.
You can download any driver without an account or software. Nice try Sony PR department
You had no BIOS, you had no Firmware, you had no Kernel, you had no OS, you had no Browser.
The driver itself is Software.
difference is you don't need a nvidia account to have your gpu to do it's basic functions, only for un-needed extras that steam does for free.
Yes steam had a hack too, but if you had 2-factor auth, you were safe. they also didn't get cc-info from what i recall.
