Why can you start Iki island before finishing the main storyline??
I was on my way to the second quest on Iki when I died and then a cutscene telling me that I already killed the final boss started to play, at first I thought Jin was bluffing then I though it was a bug but apparently no you're simply supposed to play this DLC AFTER completing the main story... why?
The only warning the game give you is that enemies are stronger there, THAT ^^^ should be the warning ffs, now I have to reload and leave the area as not to spoil myself further.

Cant help as to what happened to you. But I started Iki during Act 2. After Iki I was then able to continue Act 2. Doesn't help you, I know, so I can only think you encountered a bug. Have you tried loading an auto save before this happened?

I know the scene, beyond that there aren't really any other spoilers for the main game, once you get to a certain point on Iki you can travel back to Tsushima.

No I didn't try but as I already unlocked a couple cosmetics and wandered on the island for a couple hours I'm just gonna wait until I can go back to Tsushima as to not loose my progress.

I mean... yeah maybe? for all I know this could not have been 100% historically accurate and Jotun Khan turns himself into a mf pickle before going back to his planet or maybe there's a huge twist concerning other characters?
But fr it's less about spoiler than loosing immersion in the story that I find annoying.

Khotun Khan is a fictional character. The invasion of Tsushima was thwarted by a storm and never happened like in the game. Hence the reference to the storm and the name of „Storm of Clan Sakai” and thunders on the Katana. Samurai clans and people are fictional. However a few were real much later on in history.
Jin saying than the Khan is dead was a bluff(or real if you went after campaign) but in context with him saying a thousand samurai are on their way to the island was also a bluff, so they kind of did it to “cover” their asses depending when the player goes over to Iki. He had no such backing during the campaign and especially after completing it. Old post I know but I was searching for something and clicked on it. Thought I just let you know the events were not real. Atleast that’s how I remember it from reading way back. Either way hope you enjoyed the game fellow Ghost.
