How to get off Iki Island? Don't think I should be here.

I wasn't done with Act 1 and came across the family Tales of Iki questline and figured sure. Now I'm stuck on Iki Island, have finished 3 quests/missions but they were very hard. I also have the horse armor. At what point can I get off the Island and go back later, after I finish Act 1? Or am I screwed and have to reload an old save? Or just start over for that matter.

You can leave after you progress a bit in the main questline on Iki

Fune will literally tell you something like "Ok, you can leave Iki if you want to now"

I don't think it's much of a spoiler but keep following the main quest until there's one that involves being on a boat -- then you can go home.

I just fast traveled off of it after some interesting events involving a specific liquid happened, it worked fine.
