Does anyone Like legends?
I find it way to restrictive and classes are kinda lame. half of the classes seem to fall short of just playing samurai. Ranger does weak damage and falls short in combat along with assassin. Ronin is helpful to have some healing but other than that samurai is just to good. The issue however isnt Samurai being to good its the failures of the other classes.

In Survival, I usually kill the most and in Story, it's even as a hunter. Pretty high AoE damage on groups of enemies, even more with fire-damage and cdr buffs.

I wish I had an opinion, one way or the other. I have yet to get around to it, all these years later.

Planning to finally delve into the mode this time around on the PC. I love the base game and I feel like I should at least see the Legends story missions and level a class to 20.

The other classes, besides Samurai, work just fine. It's your (bad quality) build/ loot. I have zero trouble in Hellmode (custom survival with all difficulty mods on) running ANY class. Each has a specific role to play, nothing more, nothing less.

I kinda agree the gameplay just isn't diverse enough to justify the class system.

It's just so overwhelmingly overshadowed by the single player aspect.....why bother grinding for tedious gains online when you're an unstoppable badass as Jin in the campaign.

I like it, it's fun with a buddy, and going through the story chapters a time or two is a good time. They're written ok, they have fun mechanics where you have to work together and do things besides just sneak or challenge.

The problem is that it's WAY too grindy, and people don't want to put the work in to learn how to play the classes optimally, BECAUSE its so much work.

Most people just got it for single player anyway, so the tacked-on mode didn't really help, even if there's a fun game inside of it.

The 2v2 mode is pretty fun with friends ngl. Story is pretty mid and survival is just survival although i havent tried Hellmode yet.

With a friend its fun. I just wish we would have more weapons but it is what it is

Legends is alright, it's fun when it works but at the same time it can also be frustrating but... same could be said about lots of other games.

Its fine, but there's not enough gameplay variety. Think Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, main focus was story as here, but multiplayer had a bunch of different enemies and classes to boot.

Here you just fight same enemies, over, and over, and over, and over and over again. And raids are just rubbish, half of them are dumbstruck jump puzzles, feels like im no longer playing hack'n'slash but a 3rd mario.

I had a blast in legends, though the raids were a massive pain in the ass due to the fact that PC players get blocked from communication. I mainly don't play as much just due to the matchmaking issues and crashes. Crashes seem to have gotten more frequent after last patch.

You must have not played long enough if you think Samurai outshines everything. I'd argue that it is the least impactful class at high difficulties.
Assassin has been the king of story mode for me and a farming powerhouse. With the right build, he can even just AoE poison everything around him and take out entire crowds effortlessly. On certain story missions, he can just rush in and take out the objective target(s) almost instantly allowing for super quick speedruns.
Ranger is unmatched in terms of single target damage output. You just need to be good at getting headshots or have decent ammo management with the 3-shot bow.
Ronin is the AoE king, being able to take out multiple groups of enemies like they're nothing on top of resurrecting dead teammates from across the map.

actually when it first came out on ps4 consoles, I hve played legends ( online multiplayer ) on it, it was dope as hell bruhh, actually really fun, different modes in it, after completing whole campaign story, used to be lot of players on it that time too but now i don't think much people play legends on pc port or idk cross play ...

When you first get into it, it might not be that appealing but once you get legendary gear & make builds then it gets to be a lot of fun. On console me & a made builds that would kill everyone so quickly we made a slight game of it to kill enemies before our random teammates could get kills & we ended up making a good amount of people quit lol. It's just said now with this PC port having broken matchmaking because you can barely get any games.

I've seen players of all classes excel in those classes. Especially Hunter/Assassin - it's all about how you build the character. You can't just throw on some highest level items on a character and expect to achieve the level of success that a player who is picky about the gear he puts on his characters.

I didn't mind the mode had some fun with it but the main reason I played it was for the achievements, with the biggest issues I had were the Raids and getting into a gold survival with the checking connection loop for the longest time.
