how do kunai assassination work?

1. does it tell you with a popup showing a distant enemy can be killed by a kunai?
2. does it only works on subsequent chain assassination? I mean,must the first assassination be done with melee first?
3. does it require you to have kunai equipped on the quick weapon fire "mode"?

1. Yeah, by default RB button pop up will show to throw a kunai.
2. I guess it can be last hit in the chain.
3. No, you can equip everything and still throwing kunai at the end.

1. Oh so a new contextual popup sign would appear? So then if you sneaked behind an enemy then at close range it would show you X and RB buttons?
2. What about in the middle of the chain, is it possible?
3. I assume you still need to have kunai available in your inventory?

You throw it and the sharp part goes into the enemy's body. It causes death by exsanguination and shock.
