Ok, i was having a hard time and i found no tricks but "use the perfect dodge" against owan so here are a few methods to fight:
Owan: Do either a 3 kick combo or 2 kicks and a blade attack.
- Since the kicks doesn't count, just take the moon form and use the spin attack. He push you but you score a point.
Take: She only use blockable attacks, sometime she get defensive.
- perfect parry is probably the best option, with sarugami armor and mizu-no-kami charm, if she is on the defensive she will parry/dodge your first 2 attacks then try to hit you, that's when you parry.
Kai: Only use unblockable attacks. Sometime do charging patterns.
- dodge followed by strong attack in stone stance. You will break his stance in 2-4 hits. When he start charging, he follows by a 2-3 hit combo of unblockable attacks. Just fodge 3 time and do a strong attack.
Sao: only 2 patern, charge spin (unblockable) followed by blockable attack, or charge spin, pocket sand (unblockable) then blockable attack.
- when you dodge, he reset and restart his spin, so let him do the first spin charge, dodge it, then as he restart, dodge as he start spinning and quick attack, you will hit his back.

The Tournament is just broken/bugged, there are times where I'll hit the opponent repeatedly
and never get credit for the hit. They need to fix this.
