Sarugami Armour
I thought the Sarugami armour was supposed to disable normal parrying, but increase the perfect parry window? Why do I keep constantly getting normal deflections as if I parried normally?

Not sure, I only get perfect parries or normal blocks with it, never a normal parry.

Yeah, that's why I'm so confused, I feel like I'm doing the timing right, but then I just get a normal deflect so I'm confused as hell

Tried taking off the Mizu-no-Kami charm, and same ♥♥♥♥, this is getting frustrating now

This is exactly what it's supposed to do!

If you get a normal 'deflect' ie you're turning the sword aside but without stepping, that isn't a parry, that's just a normal block. You can still block with the armor, but you can't make enemies take that big stumbling step past you.

Yes, I am aware, it just seems like it is the other way around for OP.
