Lethal difficulty should be called "BS difficulty"
I'll start saying that i beat the game in lethal difficulty back in 2020 when the game came out, but i sure as hell did not remembered how unfair this difficulty is.

Its supposed to be "realistic" by stating that a hit with a blade is "lethal" indeed, however... this only applies to Jin, even the most weak generic soldier takes at least 2 hits to be killed, not to mention the armored soldiers, which some of them might take up to 5 or 4, sometines the shield guys take 6. I understand that a heavy armor might withstand a hit with a blade, but this is ridiculous considering the fact that you can also wear a heavy armor set and still get one shot, the duels are definitely the worst aspect, it is infuriating the fact that making a single mistake will restart everything, but the opponent are damage sponges.

I love the game but hopefully a mod can fix this, and give us a " fair lethal mode" in which you and the enemies get one shot.

I mean it is called lethal, you get hit and you die, pretty logical. A hit with a lance, a aze or a sword is usually deadly.

not sure, haven't tried Lethal but isn't it better balanced for ng+ with at least some HP under Jin's belt?

That is already implied in my post. My complaint is that the BS difficulty only applies to Jin. The rest of the soldiers, bosses, are still damage sponges, even with "you get hit and you die, pretty logical"

I havent tried the NG plus. But even with the most heavy armor and health upgrades, you could still get one shot, sometimes you get lucky and survive one hit more. Its just the design difficulty setting (pretty bad IMO)

Because you over time got use to the additional skills & better equipment. Every game is at it's hardest early in the campaign's before the character has more options through skills & upgraded equipment.

Because you over time got use to the additional skills & better equipment. Every game is at it's hardest early in the campaign's before the character has more options through skills & upgraded equipment.

This game isnt level-gating the player but you sure as hell can run into a brick wall on some quests if you are under-equipped. So go around do all these run of the mill-checkmarks & get better stuff.

That's my point, indeed!

I disagree with the fact that some people state that in this difficulty you die easily but the enemies also die easily, because it isnt.
I wouldnt mind getting one shot, and being stuck in execution animations while the enemies can hit you there, as long as the enemies would also get one shot. That would be a truly "real lethal mode"

Maybe by 'unfair' he was talking about the enemies taking more hits than uou , rather than skills and equipment

I get your point but just upgrade your sword? I already had full upgrades by act 2 because I did everything before main quest line and in late game I could easily 2 hit kill every enemy besides duels, those are truly damage sponges but not a really issues once you get good at parry and dodge you can finish those duels rather quickly aswell.

Honestly? Waiting for a mod that will make Jin's damage output somewhat near the damage he gets (in percents). Don't forget - it's PC gaming now, NOT console. WE CAN do that

Oh and just amputate that huge health bar on bosses and duel opponents on Lethal, ofcourse

Bro you literally DID NOT play the game on lethal. Lets take first boss, in Azamo bay. You die in 1 lucky/2 normal strikes. He needs like 15 hits to die. Lets upgrade your sword - he now needs ~8-10 hits to die. YOU STILL NEED 1-2 TO DIE. Bro, lethal difficulty is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as it is now. But don't you worry, mods will fix that. Mods fix everything
