"Players may also find their autosave files are locked inside the game and cannot be loaded. This may be another situation causing your game progress to be lost. According to the game players, this problem can be fixed by renaming the autosave files.

You can go to the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut save file location on your computer: C:\Users\username\Documents\ Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. Find the folder that saves your backup files. Locate the file you want to use and rename it.

For example, the target autosave file named “backup_010.sav” should be changed to “manual_001.sav”. If there are manually saved files that have numbers like 0000, 0001, 0002, etc., the renamed file should follow the order and format of the existing numbers, like “manually_0003.sav.”

Afterward, try to relaunch the game to see if this works in your situation."

its weird to me that it would affect old auto saves.
I assume you tried to fix it via checking the Integrity of game files

Oh! Wow! This save corruption ♥♥♥♥ is becoming more widespread, eh?

As if the audio frequently cutting out and random crashes weren't enough of an issue.

I think i need to give this thing a break until they patch some of this ♥♥♥♥.

There's just too many gamebreaking issues.

They should be at ;

"...\Documents\Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT\76561197961023622"

Dont know if that folder that is just a bunch of numbers is the same for everyone but i doubt it.
Also i dont think the PC would just delete all your saves like that

searching for .sav files didnt get me anything, but searching 765 found the folder. renamed and it works! lost maybe 20 minutes of progress but saved 60 hours. thanks!

It works, but i had to change the Autosave files to the exact Manual save Name. If you have 5 Manual Save Files (manual_0001.sav - manual_0005.sav) , rename Autosave.01 for example to manual_0006.sav . Worked for me.
