Jesus. You got triggered
Calling another adult a neck beard because he doesn’t like your weeb power simulator game.
You’re such a strong and cool samurai! Battling against the scary words on the screen!
I “live in my mom’s basement” meanwhile you have like five 100%’d Ubi-like games on your profile. ♥♥♥♥♥
Actual brain dead activity
A vast majority of AAA studios are incapable of making a video game an actual engaging video """GAME""'.
Its just not something they focus on. All the time, effort and budget goes to making it look and sound good as well as the writing. Gameplay takes a back seat, if this is not what your looking for then I recommend just avoiding games like this.
The key difference is opinion, something you clearly can't wrap your watermelon head around. I personally disagree with all of your sentiments. That's my opinion, and I think this game is great. This is coming from a hardcore gamer who plays Tarkov, Arma 3, CDDA, DCS, etc, and I haven't touched a Ubi game sense Assassins Creed 4. So try and come at me like I'm some out of touch console normie. It's a matter of taste and opinion, and its pretty clear if you'd like the game from the trailer. If you like Japan and third person combat, and exploration, then get it. The game is absolutely stunning and brimming with density where it matters most, leaving most superficial ubi ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of the picture, unless you like to strawman the argument about collectables which no'one picks up anyway. Not many collectibles in GoT and its truly not much of a chore anyway. I feel like this game respects my time and I appreciate it.
“Hardcore gamer”
My brother in Christ, Tarkov and Arma 3 are the actual definition of normie streamer sh!t.
Sorry you’re struggling to accept the fact you actually love hype games
Still haven’t mentioned anything that distinguishes this game from AC outside of “OHHH SAMURAI JAPAN SO COOL”
If you think gameplay and GoT takes a backseat, you clearly haven't played the game. From the get-go there was engaging combat, with minimal "push for attach animation" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Every swing and strike is a button press, and blocking correctly (parrying) takes some skill and building muscle memory for. Maybe you feel its brainless if you played it on medium but on Hard and especially Lethal, the gameplay feels like walking a dance of death. Great swordplay, maybe you just have the difficulty too low.
This game has more in common, gameplay wise to the uncharted series, god of war, the last of us and days gone then anything ubisoft. No, the gameplay loop isnt exactly the most original or groundbreaking. Yes, you have seen this all before. an open-ish world action adventure game. but what sets it apart is the story, writing and visuals. The single player focus. The lack of 100s of dollars of microtransactions and so called "dlc". What you get is a solid, stable game with a good story that keeps you coming back for more with great controls and gameplay and stunning visuals.
lmoa wtf did I just read
Every 3rd person game is AC folks, you heard it here straight from swampo!
if it has stealth and its 3rd person its a ubi clone!
Metal Gear Solid is AC Clone
Grand Theft Auto has stealth missions and 3rd person and even melee combat! AC CLONE!!!
Considering AC didn't do Japan before GoT the concept of Japanese "assassins" is still a novel concept and executed far thoroughly than any of the new AC games. New AC is an RPG and old AC is a story game with combat latched onto it. Hence the kill animations. There are minimal "kill animations" and sequences like Batman Arkham and old AC. Every swing from your sword in GoT is from a button press, there are no reversals and hardly any instant kill button aside from stealth, which refer to above you knobhead, theres only so far you can go with stealth in a 3rd dimension taking place in a rudimentary time period, so trying to use "stealth" against GoT makes you look stupid because damn near ALL stealth games are the same conceptually. The concept can only be carried so far. The combat at a difficulty worth its salt is engaging enough almost like a Dark Souls fight, or better yet to counter your douchebag normie comment, its alot like fighting in Mordhau or Severence Blade of Darkness. I could go on about the differences but your mind is too made up in the similarities to matter, at the end of the day you should get your refund and gtfo of the thread, because its obvious you didn't **really** play the game, and you're just mad you can't enjoy something other people love. Go be happier and work on yourself so you feel less incline to ruin other peoples joy.
ALSO I did actually give you a reason other than "samurai so cool" which wasn't an actual reason I stated ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I said GoT actually respects the players time, something that is a key difference from AC.
