Game is superior on mouse and keyboard which was a suprise to me.
I'm an advocate for controllers always being superior for 3rd person fighting games. But not this time. The interact button on controller is the same as the stance swap, which leads me to frequently get locked out of swapping to my stances for a reason I can't perceive in the heat of battle causing me to attack with the wrong stance. Not only that, but when you swap stances you need to hold a button and then press another. On mouse and keyboard you literally press 1,2,3, and 4 respectively for the 4 stances, the swap is instant. It adds a TON of fluidity to an already fluid combat system and fixes the issue with interact stopping you from stance swapping.

I'm gonna start learning how to play on m&k now so I can enjoy more fluid combat.

It will never be superior w/ kb+m over controller, not even a competition.

I am getting an analog keyboard tomorrow and will be curious to see how changing WADS to analog helps with the ability to walk slower like you can with a controller. Still won't hold a candle to just how good using a controller for gaming feels and plays imo, but it will be fun to try out anyways.

Not that I have my doubts about K+M more superior responsiveness than the analog controller, but have you unlocked all Mystic skills and how many buttons are configurable on your mouse?

Played this on ps4 and ps5, the mouse and keyboard is for sure superior, I have my dodge and block on the mouse itself, extra button on the side, making it a cheat if you have a fast reaction time.

It's so easy I just run up to a base with the traveler's outfit and massacre everyone on lethal mode, I am not joking. plus stances are easier to switch, you just press 1,2,3,4 for the stances then attack. Unlike the controller's extra holding button lol.

I have my ps5 controller connected when I switch back and forth, but key board and mouse is what I use 95% of the time for battles.

For my mouse only 2 buttons on the side besides the mouse 1 and mouse 2 button, it's the razer viper mini.

Game plays better with DualSense Edge controller.

Yeah, noticed that. Getting one tomorrow. Really a bummer that the Xbox One Elite Series 2 does not have haptic feedback. It has four back paddles though, which I wish the Dualsense Edge had also, but it only has two unfortunately.

For immersion ps5 controller plays better, you can hear sounds on the bluethooth controller itseslf, plus the touch screen can offer extra stuff on. Along with haptic feedback which is the biggest game changer for me.

The mouse is my go to for sweating in this game, that's just me though, Since I already played this on the ps5 so it's the same stuff I experienced, for first time use for sure controller.

It depends on what people are used to. I personally feel kinda sick playing 3rd person with M&KB. That being said, a controller is relatively new to me. I've been only using one for about 3-4 years on and off.

Never liked the xbox elite controller, I've owned xbox elite the first generation and second. The first had problems with peeling grips, and it had very bad stick drift, plus I never used the extra paddles. The second one had stick drift issues. Never buying xbox one related stuff again, I had 7 xbox one controller with the same issue with stick drift.
The only controller that I never had a problem with was the xbox 360 controller and ps4 controller. PS5 controller can get stick drift too.
Cujo May 23, 2024 @ 6:24pm
IIRC only one company makes the sticks and they make them the same way, so by that they can all get stick drift.
Sakishiro May 23, 2024 @ 6:25pm
I’ve never had any stick drift issues on any of my Elite Series controllers. Must have gotten lucky, I guess. I still think the Elite Series 2 is the best controller still to this day, and hopefully Elite Series 3 will be even better. I’m mostly buying the Dualsense Edge for the haptic feedback, and the two extra back paddles.

Stick drift is controller's Achilles Heel

It's just weird how some controllers are not as affected by stick drift if that's the case, I abuse my ps4 controller more and it still worked the same way it had when I first bought it compared to the other types of controllers.
