The issue is not AMD related, Nvidia users also having the same when using any sort of upscaling method. I'm having a "ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6800 16GB OC GDDR6 256bit (TUF-RX6800-O16G-GAMING/90YV0FM1-M0NA00)" Radeon card, and over my 70 hours of gameplay so far I haven't had a single crash besides the initial splash screen freeze.

Solution which I found working on my end, and for many others as well:
1. Turn off the Steam overlay, it won't affect your Achievements etc. I believe the Steam &
PSN overlay is "clashing" in a way, and that's causing the game to hang.
2. Turn off FrameGen and / or FSR / DLSS regardless of what you are using. Or just use FSR
or DLSS without the FrameGen. But as I read about it, the crashing issue was mainly
caused by the FrameGen. I had FSR on almost the whole time, and haven't had a single
crash.
3. Try both 1. & 2.

On my end step 1. solved the issue on day one. Haven't tried turning it back on since the patch, but will give it a go to see how it goes.

Update: I've turned the Steam overlay back on after the patch, and so far the game doesn't freeze on the splash screen.

Hallo! After the last update the whole screen keeps turning white again. You can't see anything of the game world anymore. The game also keeps crashing, which it never did before. The game cannot be played like this.

I tried suggestions 1 and 2 from Jc and swapped the latest driver with the previous version and everything works perfectly again. Thanks to Jc.
