Question about Yuriko / Spoiler

So she had an affair with Jins Dad and has knowledge about poison.
That Jins Mother had an illness and died early in his youth some question came too my mind.

Could Yuriko have poisoned Jins Mother? The whole lovly woman who hold his hand as he were ill, then the Onsen "little Accident", this all was a bit questionable.

I was going to ask the same question after Yuriko's love for Jin's father, except don't believe she murdered Jin's mother. I also believe it's a one sided love - not mutual.

The simple answer is no. This is evident by her reaction when jin asks her to make poisons to kill men. She is shocked and appalled by the idea of such an act. Maybe you should seek professional help for surely only a mentally ill person could take the sweet old lady and twist a bitter sweet moment into a monster...

Perhaps it wasn't Yuriko at all. For those who have been to Iki Island, you'll find Jin's father wasn't a very nice chap at all - and may also explain why Jin let him die.
