Too many cutscenes
It may only be a matter of taste, but to me, the game is too frequently interrupted by cutscenes. I have just an hours or two each evening to play games, and most of it is eaten away with listening to not-so-interesting dialogue.

Is it only like this in the beginning, or will this continue? I'm about 2-3 hours in.

It's mainly the beginning. There are plenty of cutscenes in the game but once the island starts opening up you'll be busy doing all kinds of stuff that actually spreads a lot of the longer dialogue cutscenes out enough to where they didn't feel intrusive, in my experience.

This is a heavily story based game with a lot of dialog. There's always call of duty if you need constant dopamine hits

Skill Issue....do your research next time before you buy something.

I do like the game, and I was aware that it was story driven. Only, they overdo it just a tad, at least in the beginning.

This not a game for people who like to skip the story.

For me, it's the protracted standoffs every time I have a duel. It would be nice if I could skip those instead of having to see the same animations for the umpteenth time
Its called patience. You seriously cannot spare 5 seconds to do a standoff.

Its showing reverence to samurai movies of the past. Kinda like the American Western. Its to build tension.....which apparently is working lol.

Well, it seems like this game isn't for you then. Maybe try Minecraft or Fortnite.

It's not 5 seconds. And it takes place every single time a duel happens. You could make the same case for literally every cutscene ever. This is why developers give players the option to skip cutscenes if they so choose, while those who would rather see the same animations over and over again can do so.

Nah.... I think skipping cutscenes or animations breaks immersion. You get to skip in NG+.

1st playthrough.....just relax and roll with it. It's clear that Sucker Punch is treating this game like art, and with art you dont get what you want.

Okay, but that's your problem. You can watch the same thing over and over and feel immersed all you want. Others just want the option to skip cutscenes. It's not rocket science.

Youre not a big baller shot caller, stylin', profilin ,limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun!

If you have time to cry on a message board, you have time to watch cutscenes.
