Sudden FPS drop?

When I start playing the game it's going on constant around 60 FPS. Sometimes, even without changing graphic settings suddenly FPS drops to around 30/40 and stuck at this point. Only way to fix this is to restart whole game.

I don't know what could cause this and also I'm not sure if this happens only when I alt-tab out of the game, but could be only during this.

Anyone have the same problem?

My gear:
AMD Ryzen 3600
RTX 3060 Ti (8GB)
24GB RAM

Latest Nvidia Driver game ready 555.85 was the problem for me.
Removing Driver with DDU then installing previous version fixed it for me
it made me go from stable 144 FPS to around 80 lock, Ultra or Low setting was the same FPS

Do you know if just installing the previous driver also works?
Or how do I can uninstall with DDU?

Same problem here can someone please confirm that it works since i got the same problem sudden FPS drop when previously i had steady 80+. RTX 4060.

Im having a similar issue, but in my case, the game runs very smooth for about an hour, and then I get these frame rate freezes (they last about a second and a half), then the FPS goes smooth again. A minute or two later, the same thing. Once the first FPS 'brainfreeze' occurs, the trend doesn't stop until I shut the game down and boot it back up.

Same happening to me. In act 1 it'd go for at least an hour before fps tanking. Alt-tabbing makes it happen faster. Act 2 it tanks after about 20 mins.
3070Ti getting 140ish, then tanks to just under 60. Quitting & reloading the game fixes it temporarily.

My thing is I play on max setting and cap at 60 I can play as long as I want and it will stay 60 but if I go to iki island I constantly get Frame drops as low as 20 and the game just stutters

I experienced this for the first time yesterday, after defeating temuge and chasing the mongols out from the fort, suddenly fps frame rates dropped to 1/5th from my normal avg frame rates, nothing worked to fix that except for restarting the game.

i just turned off frame generation and it back from 30 to 70

Must say, and this is RARE.. The game runs pretty much flawless / fluid on my machine for a "PC" game that is.. Cause, many pc games seems to have judder/jitte problems these days..

@1440p / highest settings, i get like arround 100fps MAX / and 1%low is like 75fps. The 1% Low is the main indicator you want to keep an eye on, in like how good or awfull the game runs on your system.

But sushima is well optimized at launch date for pc i must say..
And that doesn't happen often .. 🙄 !!

I’m on a 4070 Ti and I was having the same issue about 30 hours in. Went from 85-90 fps down to 30. Seems to happen whenever you go into the menus. Turned my texture quality down from very high to high and it instantly fixed it. Hopefully they have a patch soon
