Question 1: Can you keep playing (open world) after you beat the final mission?
Question 2: Can you go back to the main quest line after starting the DLC?
(I heard that you have to finish all the main DLC quests to get back to the main story)

Once you 100% first play, there's NG+ which adds a bit more content/more cosmetics, so you definitely have reason to play again.

Once you true 100% NG+ tho, the only reason to NG++ again is the Soulsborne reason, each playthrough gets progressively harder. Otherwise in terms of content, nothing else.

This game is a gold standard in that you can take a 100% save and simply replay sections that you want. Duels, forts, etc... you can freely replay them all from the map so if you just want to quick revisit w/o starting over, you can...

When I true 100%'d NG+ on Soy4 I ultimately just kept replaying duels over and over.

I wanted to save the DLC for after I complete the Main Game - Was just wondering if thats possible? Can I still roam the world after completion of final Main mission and then do the DLC?

The DLC is literally another island. Just don't travel there until you're done with the base game. You choose when you want to go there.

no need to start ng+

after you clear final mission just mouse over the outposts and you will see the replay option

q2 is Yes, But not from the start. You'll need to proceed with DLC quest to be able go back to mainland. It could be pretty rough getting there if you jumped there from the start.

I had Newgame+ content on the first play. I dont know maybe because i bought game way before release, have also armor hero of tsushima, a horse "newgame+"to choose on the start.

2. Yes, but you indeed need to finish Iki main quest line first. Before that, Tsushima teleports will be locked.

If you finish Iki Island early, there's some cool stuff you can get that's super useful in exploring the main game.
