Why does winds of vanity keep telling me to go to golden temple? there is nothing there I combed over it with a fine tooth brush.

You haven't progressed far enough into the story to find it. It's still spawned on the map so the wind will show it. There are several hidden vanity pieces like this throughout the game, some are necessary for a secret achievement. Have fun finding them, and go rescue your uncle!
