what is the co op aspect?
i see it has some non campaign related missions? so i assume its something like far cry 3 where the co op part is completely separate from the main game ?

TL:DR yes you assume correctly.

There's a standalone co-op campaign where you can choose one of four classes and then play PvE missions with other people in online-only campaigns that feature the same gameplay but with jacked up enemies that have additional powers and stuff kind of like a roguelite PvE co op thing.

Unfortunately, doing so is mandatory to *actually* get 100% game completion, because they changed the game a few years ago, but you can still platinum the game on PS5 without completing the co-op stuff so I assume the achievements will be similar on PC.

Although on PS5 the co op has its own separate achievements, so they will probably be combined all into one list on PC as is the norm.

Co-op is mission base on closed maps. You get experience in the different classes for new skills/stats and new gear. Really fun with friends!
