Souls like?

As title suggests. Game looks like something i would like but i despise souls like since i don't exactly have that sort or reaction time in me.

nah, it's just souls series became so popular that everyone can't help but draw parallels.

So it is the same as with Metroid (Metroidvania) or Rogue (Rogue like), popular games that created it's own genre with their unique progression system or play style.
Now you can deny it being a genre all you want, that will not change the fact, that it became a genre and everyone knows exactly what to expect when they see a game described as a Souls like.

It's a subgenre
Genre's are your things like
Action, shooter, RPG, racing, platformer
Subgenre's are your things like Metroidvania's, fps, roguelikes, jrpg's and the like
