Steam installs PES to a separate directory to the disc based version, and the data/kit updates only seem to work with the disc based installs. The Evo Web, Smoke, PESEdit and QPES updates all seem to rely on a different .exe, which the Steam version doesn't support.
At the minute I don't know if there's a way to patch the game yourself but I'd appreciate any help if anyone finds out.
Ummm...isn't the DLC free? At least mine was...
thanks for the link to his blog :). I will message him today and hopefully there is way to fix this issue. I was also thinking maybe if they add steamworkshop that could possibly resolve it?
First off, Make a copy of your PES Steam install and move it elsewhere (Mine's in C:\games\pes)
Secondly, get a questionable exe, (use your brain here), and google how to get the registry fix.
You will need both.
Now. Install the patch to your moved one (e.g. c:\games\pes), replace the 1.03 exe with a 1.03 questionable exe. Then, open up Notepad, copy/paste the registry tweak
Where it says InstallDir, change to your modded PES location.
Then save it as pes.reg
Double click that. Answer yes to any UAC questions, then yes to importing to the registry.
From there on out, attach kitserver (if needed) to the pes exe, and play.
