Trench Tales

Trench Tales

This game needs a PvP(vE?) mode!
As the title says, I think this game is just perfect for a PvP or even PvPvE mode. Objective based, extraction based or whatever (we already know there's weapon customization). Just the style, vibe, and tech of the game makes me want to play the sh*t out of it, and it if had a mode where you could sink your time in like the ones I mentioned, It would be heaven on earth.
I've got about 7k hours in Hunt: Showdown and this game passes ALL the vibe checks for an amazing multiplayer experience similar to that (not necessarily the same, as not everything in Hunt is perfect).
I completely understand all the single player fans and their desire to keep the game purely PvE/campaign based.
I hope this game becomes a huge success and enables the developers to give a PvP mode a go. There's definitely not any similar game (WWII horror shooter with PvP, where?) and I think there is a market for it. It doesn't need to be a zero-sum game - CoD had the most amazing campaigns AND PvP maps before it became the FIFA of shooters.

Why? Single player is single player. How would having some form of multiplayer change the SP?
no need , if you like pvp , you can find another game , For certain games, based on their scope, target audience, and content, whether they have PvP or not makes little to no difference to the game's future, sales, or popularity.

Because, no one wants another pvpve. The markets already oversaturated by those games.

Because devs tend to use MP as a crutch, and skimp on the single player. Suddenly SP isn't a priority because you can put so much less effort into MP. You don't have to write scripts, don't have to worry about story, larger level design, voice acting, enemy variety, etc... You throw players in a big arena with some guns and tell them "have at it, make your own fun", and call it a day
TBH, the only appealing thing that got me to even pay attention to this is the fact that it isn't MP and just a single player game. I really hope they refine and embellish it further, but only time will tell....?
no.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
just like we get told on all those pvp games. go play one of those then. dont force every game into a multiplayer status for no reason

No, calling PvP a crutch is insufficient. Its closer to a wheelchair that devs use to help pump sales count or active player numbers. It inevitably leads to the devs catering to the sweaty minority of players who have no job, responsibilities or life to distract them from gaming. They will priorities them so much that any single player content that doesn't relate to PvP or bring in revenue will be shot down as soon as its mentioned. Any short term increase in profit will be fleeting as the player base flocks to the next shiny and new PvPvE shooter that is a cookie cutter copy of Tarkov, Fortnight or COD but with a different coat of paint. You are not the target audience, if you want PvP or PvPvE there are plenty of games both on and off steam to chose from.
Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not. :waaaghsbt:
