Steam for Linux

Steam for Linux

How to run the game on a laptop Nvidia hybrid graphics?
After updating Fedora 30 to Fedora 31, Steam games are launched on the Intel integrated graphics card. How can I start the game on the discrete Nvidia card?

I found that steam only recognized the Intel card. Any game run with Linux runtime is using it. But Proton runtime will always use the Nvidia card. Try to use Proton runtime if the Intel card can't provide enough performance.

I'm looking forward to using the Nvidia card with native Linux runtime too.
I've found the solve:

__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia /usr/bin/steam %U

I use a ubuntu based operating that work well with this it is called Pop!_Os, Not a solution to your fedora problem per say but an alternative. It allows to switch on and off each graphic card on the fly, or disable one over the other entirely. Using an hp_omen 15 with a nvidia rtx 1650 as secondary graphic card. And it works wonderfully.
