SS3 No 3rd Person
SS3, both when subscribed to openpublic beta (under game properties) and not, does not seem to support 3rd person view when set in game options. Logged out and back in, etc. but still only in 1st person. (Using Nvidia 310.19 drivers). Does 3rd person mode seem to be working for others?

I have ati-drivers 12.11_beta and it work for me.

Tried pressing 'H' while in-game? That's the default shortcut to toggle between 1st and 3rd person views.

The 'H' keyboard short cut does indeed work - great! Thanks for the tip.
