What's your current Distro and Desktop Environnement?
It needs to start somewhere.

I'm using Archlinux and still enjoying it after they removed rc.conf.
I don't use any proper DE. Compiz is my Window Manager and I borrow some apps from LXDE, XFCE and Gnome. That's a bit messy but I like it so far.

I'm currently doing Linux Mint 13. Will be moving to LM 14 once I upgrade my linux server. Currently my rig there is using G41 Graphics / Intel E7300, which will not cut playing TF2.

CrunchBang 11 (distro based on Debian Wheezy) but with Awesome WM. I upgraded to 3.7 kernel (Liquorix) and am using fglrx drivers out of experimental repos.

I'm using Calculate Linux, it's russian fork of Gentoo. Desktop environmet -- KDE 4.9 + Openbox as window manager.

Why do you assume that we only have one machine with only one Linux distribution?.

Slackware 13.37 X86_64 with FVWM on my desktop machine, i use it for work and games (nonsteam).
Slackware 12.0 with FVWM on my EeePC 701, i use that to work.
Slackware 14 x86_64 with XBMC and Freevo as my HTPC (no window manager).
Arch Linux (no window manager) as a CCTV and custom Home Security System (in development).
Arch Linux x64 and FVWM as a temporally game machine (dual boot with Windows).

If that's not enough i also have:
OpenBSD 5.2 as a Home Server (no window manager).
OpenBSD 5.2 with FVWM on a Netbook.
NetBSD 5.0.2 with FVWM.
And i still have a machine running BeOS.

Sadly my FreeBSD machine is gone.

Kubuntu 12.10, Debian Wheezy (usually with AwesomeWM) and OpenBSD 5.2. Running Steam only on Kubuntu. Aside from some minor matters of font rendering and overflowing text boxes, it's working as well as it ever does on Windows. Just need some more titles now (big hint).
