Tt eSports Theron Gaming Mouse
I just purchased a Tt eSports Theron gaming mouse...WOW it is awesome! The look, the feel, and the customization options are sweet! However, I have to reboot to Windows to custome it :( but the customizations are persistant and you can have 5 different profiles that can be swtiched with a single button! :) I just sent an email to Thermaltake bascially encouraging them to develop native Linux drivers. Until then, does anyone know how I could get this software working through Wine? I got it installed but when I open it it does not detect the mouse :(

I did a quick search and sadly couldn't find anything. The thing is, if you buy from hardware vendors that don't support Linux you shouldn't expect Linux support. I totally encourage you to write them and inform them that you want Linux drivers but it has more weight when you do so before they have your money and explain to them, that lack of Linux support is a reason you didn't buy from them and you totally would if they change their policies.

Roccat does it better, they don't support Linux themselves but they point you towards the community maintained drivers ( community being one guy) and the drivers are in the mainline kernel. The tools are here if they aren't already in your repositories. http://sourceforge.net/projects/roccat/ And a message like this makes all the difference for me: http://www.roccat.org/Support/Gaming-Mice/ROCCAT-Kone-XTD/#crb_3
(Just don't buy their headsets, they suck.)

I have a Raptor LM2 gaming mouse that is rather low on features, but it does have adjustable dpi AND just works with Linux without messing around with drivers or anything.
Just a small recommendation if you want an affordable low-end yet well-built gaming mouse that works on Linux.
