I think that's really awesome and a good sign (as there are not that many titles out yet) and shows the potential of Linux as a gaming platform..

I wonder how much of the .82% is people on Fedora/Arch/OpenSUSE. I have to think a lot of that chunk is other linux distros and people who have not updated their OSX to one of the popular releases.

Regardless all signs point to Linux having less than a 1% difference between OSX which is both shocking and awesome!

It likely was not as the Survery is optional and the users would have had to be logged into Linux and Steam, as well as recieved a servey request and opted in.

Most of the people that just came for the Penguin likely wouldn't still be using Linux or genuinely like it and are giving it a fair shake.

TIP: It no OS name is listed when checking System Information in Steam,

edit /etc/os-release

for me I just added Gentoo Linux, now Steam properly recognizes my System as Gentoo.

The Survey for me only pops up when I start Steam with wine. When I start the Linux Steam client I don't get prompted for the survey. I keep clicking "Cancel" when the Survey pops up in the Steam for wine version.

So I like to participate in the Survey when am running the Linux Steam client, but never get prompted

So Linux market share grows faster = Bunch of AAA games.
