Fedora 18 Errors
Every time I launch TF2 I get this error, and upon boot it says "steam needs to install xz-utils" although no such package exists (though other packages listed on the xz-utils site are installed and I manually installed the xz-utils package.

I have a Radeon HD 6700 series with proprietary drivers installed and updated, glxinfo says I have opengl 4.2. I'm on Fedora 18 x86_64

Ran into this earlier with the Steam client itself (though it seemed I could ignore it and it wouldn't have much of an affect on the application). Maybe this will help: I just uninstalled Steam with yum and reinstalled it using the fedorapeople.org repository. This thread should be of help: http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/0/864957182808081344/

I didn't have to redownload the games either.

I have the same error, but just ignoring it for now. I think the error started before fedora 18 (at some steam update), but still happens with fefora 18. Seems strange there are two unoffical repos (better than 0)... Hoping steam will support fedora directly soon.

Thank you! The thread solved the 'glGetError' error that was occurring as well, with the 32bit graphics drivers.
