Then I am lucky to have the tux, but I had openSUSE and steam already installed, before the beta stopped. Installed it as soon as the beta went open.
Maybe they check is you actual played TF2 on linux before ?
I have played TF2 over 50 hours on linux :P
Choose 12.04LTS
Use the 32 bit version
Create a shortcut to wibu on desktop
add the cmd line to the shortcut -32bit right after "wibu.exe"
When installing ubuntu/wibu 12.04LTS, make sure you allocate it to 30gb.
After that before you even install steam, you will get a prompt for "Additional Hardware" You will see an option for nVidia 310 drivers. Install that first.
Then you will see "Update Manager" on the left task bar. It will prompt you to update OpenGL.
Install Steam/TF2 and launch.
If you want tf2 and more games, 20 gig is not enough though.
Use atleast 50 gig or more if you have the room for it.
