Refresh/check cache of the game and it works.
Same here. I can launch from Steam now but I still get mismatching maps (fixed by removing maps folder from cstrike) but the sprite issue won't go away, even when copying a good one over from my Windows install....
So far that has solved this problem copying files from folder "Half-Life" in the folder "Counter-Strike". What was the problem so really did not understand, but that I still do not care, the main work =)))
PS
Sorry for my english, translate through Google translator =)
This is not the correct way to do it. They moved all of the "Counter-Strike" content into the "Half-Life" folder. If you keep doing this, you'll have to copy files after every game update.
For CS to work correctly in Steam, this is what you need to do:
1) Close Steam
2) Go to your SteamApps folder, and delete appmanifest_10.acf
3) Reopen Steam
4) Reinstall CS, it will now install correctly into the Half-Life folder and you will be able to launch it through Steam
You can then remove your "Counter-Strike" folder, it is no longer used.
I also have Steam beta but I have in my Steam Games Counterstrike 1.6 not only Team Fortress 2 and Serious Sam 3: BFE
How can I test the beta of Counter Strike 1.6?
What is it?
