Problems everywhere
I have many problems with steam and valve's games and hardware :

1- When I press shift + tab or I receive message from groups or anyone I get very low FPS then when I close it FPS be good .

2 - loading game take a long time then windows 7 .

3 - In Valve's games font of chat is very small .

4 - In l4d 2 aim is slow .

5 – I dont know if second video card working when I play or not .

6 – I can control fan speed for first card (AMDOverdriveCtrl), but I can't with second .

7 – sometimes I can't open system setting or open apps when steam working .

8 - sometimes steam close its self .

9 – How can I see video cards temperature when I play ?

10 – I can't choice spray when picture not under “/” file .

1 is a known issue and will probably get fixed eventually, tho it might be an amd thing. The loading screens are getting better with every patch. I don't really get 10 tho, all files are under /

looks more like Driver/Hardware problems with your Linux installation, these have nothing todo with Steam.. and btw, Valve's hardware???

edit:
try disable compiz when playing games btw

Your problem is that you have an AMD card.

Rule #1 for gaming on Linux: Have a Nvidia card.

I wish it were different. Hopefully it will be different in the not too distant future.
But in the past AMD never delivered good drivers for Linux.

For 9): Try entering
aticonfig --odgt
in the console.
