Steam refuses to start since newest update(Manjaro)

It simply won't start after yesterdays update.

I even tried the Snap and flatpak versions. Same issue.

I'm new to Linux in case anyone wants to help me.

Try launching it through terminal. That way, you get some output that might help in debugging this issue.

Same here. Fully updated manjaro, 6.1 kernel with 530 nvidia driver. Wont even start.
Start steam from the terminal, and it looks just like the above posts.

Many people (myself included) seem to be having an issue regarding the new UI:

There are plenty of issues opened on the Steam for Linux page regarding the new UI (and the root cause of it which seems to be a new thing they did with their browser or something?): https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues

I'm not sure what they changed but after I did some digging, for me at least, the problem seems to revolve around steamwebhelper.exe as that's the problematic program for people running Steam via wine.

If I can be of any help, uninstalling xdg-desktop-portal-gnome completely resolved the issue for me (and also resolved many other minor issues I had on my system)!
