Wine not finding steam.api DLL when i launch from lutris but it is when i launch from steam
Hi! im trying to launch factorio with onlinefix and it works completely fine when i launch it from steam but when i launch it from lutris it cant detect any dll even with the same prefix file and dlls overrides. I honestly have no clue why this is happening and how i can add the steam api to every prefix

What is your Lutris error log telling you?
Are you using the WINE Runner in Lutris and not the Steam Runner?

Usually, you can troubleshoot the issue from the verbose error log.
(I am not familiar with this 'onlinefix', nor play Factorio, so cannot really help you there).
Uh, why are you trying to run Factario in wine? Its not only a native game but performs better in Linux.

Because he wants to run it in wine. A lot of Linux’s games made natively , aren’t good ports.
I'm searching for "factorio online fix" and I get results like this:
"r/PiratedGames on Reddit: factorio cracked multiplayer?"

Any context that I'm missing?

Its like you didnt even read my comment. Factario's Linux port is BETTER THAN THE WINDOWS ONE.

Not to mention Proton is built into Steam, There is objectively NO REASON to use wine here.

This is the Linux branch of the steam forum, and we treat others here with respect.
So don't act like a kid, in a game for screaming teenagers.

The person who hasn't read or understood is you here.
Because everything indicates that the creator of the topic (not the person you wrote back to) is trying to run a stolen version of the factorio game.

Try to accept this bitter truth calmly like a man. :steamsalty:
If you bought it on steam, it will work on steam. Offline mode in steam will run the game.

Proton is just modded wine for Value Valve... So you can play old games that no longer have support or old crappy code in a sandbox.

Should buy DRM free games from gog or ask for a platform that doesn't try and lock you in... If you just want the original data files. Then you can run them in wine.
