Mod Managers for Linux?
Anyone know if Vortex or Mod Manager works on Linux?

I'm on Mint specifically.

Manually modding games is kinda lame.

Mod organizer 2 does; there's a GitHub install/howto for it...

The new Nexus Mod Manager is actively being developed with Linux / Steam Deck in mind, I haven't tried it yet but they are asking for feedback from Linux users

I used this to install and run mo2 for all my bethesda games. The sample command and video directions are below.

For your convenience --modify the following command for your situation:

STEAM_COMPAT_CLIENT_INSTALL_PATH=/usr/games/steam STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH=~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/489830/ ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Proton\ 7.0/proton run ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/489830/pfx/drive_c/Modding/MO2/ModOrganizer.exe

It's basically between MO2 and the newer cross platform NMM that's in the works

For games that get mods from Thunderstore, r2modman

Please note: Not all distros use:
~/.steam/debian-installation/

Check yours...

And aways remember that that "~" takes you to your user's home:

/home/your_user_name

Yes, water is wet and fire is hot. Thank you for your invaluable contribution.

It was not for you; sometimes the person who asked for help is new to Linux, dumbass...

And you gave information that might not work for the user, if he uses a different distro than yours...

Besides, your video is old and refers only to Skyrim; mo2 has a newer Linux script, on GitHub, to cover most of the Bethesda games...

Next time, do a better job n provide accurate information, so people won't need to point your mistakes...

Yep you quoted me to talk about something you have zero personal knowledge of.

Again thank you for your invaluable contribution.

Zero personal knowledge... Says the guy that started using Linux yesterday n teaches others to do wrong things. Congratulations!

I quoted your post because it has information that may not be the ones that the user will find on his distro.

If you wanna help, do things right. Do not teach things that may not work!

There's a GitHub install howto I posted, 1st reply, more updated than the video you posted, btw... Congratulations for sucking!

PS: and your tip is for Skyrim only... It now supports almost any Bethesda game...
Steam id 489830 = Skyrim...

For anyone else that lands here from search, the tutorial video demonstrates how to use your shell terminal and any proton version to install and run mod organizer 2.

Come on ...
You recorded a 45-minute video on how to type two verses into the console.
We really don't need to watch those videos instructing us how to type a few commands.

Anyone who wants to, should watch it. But without exaggeration, you don't try to make it the best solution for everyone.

And suggesting that a user with a lot of knowledge does not know what he is writing is rude.

Come on, brother, there's no point in continuing this.
