Portal 2 (beta)!

Portal 2 (beta) showed up!

Important: To play Portal 2 on Linux you must opt-in to the beta. You may do this by right-clicking on Portal 2 (Beta) in Steam, clicking Properties -> Betas and then select 'beta' from the drop-down. If you do not do this, Portal 2 will not run on Linux.

After switching to beta in the game properties , It launched and seems to work very well for a beta , the only trouble I had was the funny robots voice didnt work.

I will bet this is preliminary for a CS:GO port as CS:GO is on the Portal 2 engine branch.

Just a thought though..

Try validating your game cache, or check your game language.

I tested this just a few minutes ago and It works flawlessly, except for some crackling and popping due to some changes I made to ALSA

Just played through some Azorae levels with no problems. I thought at first the audio was somewhat tinny, but I think that was just the speakers on my desktop computer.

I never played the game before. The robot at the very beginning in the hotel room, is it supposed to sound like that?

Does anyone else have issues with sound? Ambient noises are fine, its just voices that I cant hear.
