Steam for Linux

Can't sort wishlist
On Linux.
Steam Beta Branch: Stable Client
Steam Version: 1709846872
Settings > Interface > Client Beta Participation > "No beta chosen"

Going to Store > Wishlist, the items are sorted by "Rank". When I click on the "Sort by:" I get a drop-down list of criteria. Clicking on any dismisses the drop-down with no other change to the page... except "Price", which will add one of my wishlist items to my shopping cart.

I don't get this effect when I visit my Wishlist via a normal web-browser, so I'm certain this is a problem with the Linux client, not server-side.

Have you tried turning it off an back on again? ;)

Or maybe deleting the steam client cache in the options?

"have you tried turning it off and back on again?"
Funny you should ask because the problem started only after...
"or maybe deleting the steam client cache?"
... I deleted the steam client and cache files and re-installed the latest non-beta.

Hi, I don't know if you got this sorted out or not, but I have had the same issue for a considerable amount of time running:

Steam Beta Branch: Stable Client
Steam Version: 1709846872
Steam Client Build Date: Thu, Mar 7 6:58 AM UTC +09.3:30
Steam Web Build Date: Fri, Mar 8 7:47 AM UTC +09.3:30
Steam API Version: SteamClient021

Though I am still on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, which isn't ideal for cutting edge gaming, so perhaps that is more where my client issues are.

For default, I have manually sorted my list by price, and generally only really want to change it to sort by "Discount" during sales,

For what it is worth, in case you still have this issue, my workaround is as follows:

1) Open Wishlist
2) Left click in the client url bar, to see the little "copied" popup.
3) Right click the title of the game at the top of the list and select "Open link in new tab" (which the client opens in a detached tab with an editable url bar).
4) Triple click or otherwise highlight the entire url bar in the detached tab.
5) Hit Ctrl+v to paste in the previously copied Wishlist url.
6) change the final part of the url from "#sort=order" to "#sort=discount" and hit return.

Complete options are:

#sort=order
#sort=name
#sort=price
#sort=discount
#sort=dateadded
#sort=salesrank
#sort=releasedate
#sort=reviewscore

Unfortunately, this bug has been reported for almost a year.

A reasonable workaround once existed, but Valve recently broke that too and kept in that way despite bug reports of that regression while in Beta phase. I anticipate Earth will be destroyed by an asteroid before this (and other) problem is fixed.

Valve obviously don't read bug reports. If they do, they're ignored.

The pace of any bug fixes is extremely slow, in my opinion.

Valve don't care like they used to because they're fat and happy.

/rant. Sorry, just tiring of shouting into the void.

Good luck in your efforts.

I am having this issue too. I'm using the default system package in Linux Mint 20 for the client.
