It is probably that you need a proprietary driver for you "DISCRETE" video card, hopefuly NVida, search/find for additional drivers

if you want even the a more recent version add this PPA
Latest Nvidia Driver
• sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
• OpenGL4.5+ (not default 3.1!)
∘ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers

Please Say thanks as You are the 200th person I have helped with thisand 2 have thanked me.

You should really think about reading up the Archwiki, maybe it would teach you something.
Hi. @ Imms1998

could you try this:
rm -Rf ~/.steam/steam/appcache

If this is a no-go, then you can try this:
cd ~/.steam/steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/
delete the link: libstdc++.so.

If this is a no-go, then try this:
cd $HOME/.steam/steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
mv libstdc++.so.6 libstdc++.so.6.bak

If this is a no-go, then you may need to consider if your graphics driver is installed correctly or not.

You shouldn't be so harsh ... there was no mention of the AMD card when i posted sphyncter head, and you are an Ambassader ... WOW .... oops just found the reference,
bt ... "....your copy-paste solution don't help no one when it's a AMD card" is good to know ... thanks for that. I just updated my notes and added IMMO's workarounfd from his link, however temprary. ... thanks SRH420

My bad, Sorry, but still all the previous sarcasm still is completely unecessary. :steamsad:

Good Luck IMMS1998 ... for you I am impressed with your tenacity. :steamhappy:

There is no harshness lol. Just get your facts correct when you help someone troubleshoot. Google is your friend in many situations. I'm not the only one who has told you this by the way. Their is also mention of AMD, OSS drivers for r600 are AMD HD2400 - HD4290 cards.

Well I looked at that website, but it is way too complicated for my quick read, thanks any way,

and I am totally unsubscribing from this as my little confusion is getting so much hate.

Just was trying to help ... Good Luck all BYE BYE.
