Nobara OS Project
Anyone using or try it out yet? I know it something currently being worked on. Glorious Eggroll himself personal project he been working on. Recently introduce less than a year ago. I'm curious how many used or tried it out. It seems to be well on it way making Gaming on Linux easy for casual who just want to install and play without doing all the massive leg work to prep system for gaming.

Is it better than Pop OS?
Currently on Arch and really like it.

Tho can you give us more information or a link to the project?
Like is it, yet another Debian or Arch based OS. Completely from Scratch like Solus or whatever.
Just saying a new distro is on its way isn't that major since there are already so many

i am on Arch ,Nobara is based on Fedora 36 workstation ,but i can't install openrazer for some reason so i will stick with arch for now, Nobara have a lot of kernel tweaks and its gonna be interesting comparing it to other distros.

About kernel tweaks,
There is already the zen kernel on Arch, which also has many kernel patches and is optimized towards desktop use.
And Linux tkg, which makes compiling a gaming optimized kernel much easier. I took that as a base and then removed all the laptop, intel and nvidia drivers from the kernel. This too gave me a little bit of performance.

You were asking if i would know a way to get some optiix msi, thing, to work because some git project is pretty much dead.

And i just responded that i don't even know what that thing even is.
I mean it's open source, if nobody does it for you, you can always do that yourself

nobaraproject.org is official page for the project with download iso. As stated be another post it base on fedora, but uses mostly RPMFusion and CoPR repos. From what I gather the modifications to Kernel are most related to gaming performance issue as well some bug fixes that haven't reached kernel yet.

still has lots of issues like it thinks my hardware can't run DX11 and I need to get new hardware.I keep hearing how great fedora is and yet every time I have tried it or spins offs over the years it's just been bad.

Nobara is no spin off of Fedora, It a modified version of it.

DX11 requires certain GPU family, Even then your GPU may or may not have DX11 capability.
