Not specific to Kali Linux at all, but rather the Linux kernel itself (which is used by all Linux-based distributions (including Kali).
Just as an aside note; Kali is probably not the best choice of Linux distro for a general desktop or gaming type usage. It's really intended for penetration testing ("ethical hacking") and not well suited as a "daily driver".
Sad they replaced him with a Steam logo. :(
Don't forget SuperTux.[en.wikipedia.org]
I almost fell off the chair laughing with this bit!
As much as they are cute (like undeniably, objectively, scientifically-measurably cute
After seeing first-hand a couple colonies, i can imagine how that gentle nibbling looked like. Guaranteed to cause an impression... ouch!

Same. That Tux logo was a lovely little 'so there' to all of the people on the old Steam forums who said a Linux port would be impossible, for various nonsensical and obviously wrong reasons. It was like winning 100 debates at once every time I saw it on a store page. A tiny little flag of victory, bravely waving in the faces of all of the people who were too terrified of viruses to google anything. I will never stop relishing that victory. Not when it was always 100 of them to every 1 of us.
