Getting Error Code -130

I need help, I keep getting an error code 130 when I go and do anything on Steam, I know this has happened to a lot of people, but I wanna know how to fix it on Ubuntu, cause I switched to it from Windows. And there is nothing for Ubuntu when I search that error!

Try login out of Steam and logging back in.
If that doesn't work try deleting appcache located in /home/YOU/.steam/steam folder (close Steam before deleting).

I was using the stable release and then I got the Beta to see if it would help then I screwed myself because I didn't realize it was a 100,000 KB Update, my internet is crap. So this weekend I will fix that, but I have went through my Ubuntu network settings, Proxy was set to manual, I set it to None. I will test sometime Friday and see if it works.

Ok, I have found the solution, the Proxy set was blocking Steam from making connections to other sites, now that is off, I tested, Steam is working now, but thanks you all for trying to help!
